Below are some sample Letters to the Editor that you can use to send in to your local papers.

SAMPLE LETTER ONE

Dear Editor:

I am insulted by President Obama’s brazen attack on the unborn as he tries to ram through a very unpopular healthcare bill that provides government funding of abortion. Poll after poll show Americans are against this yet Congress is insistent, almost obsessed, on trying to pass healthcare reform.

Abortion is not healthcare, as the abortion industry and President Obama, Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid would like Americans to believe, and it should not be mandated under any health insurance plan, especially one that Americans will be forced to subsidize. The proposed healthcare bill amounts to a bailout for the abortion industry, which is swimming in profits already and will result in the largest expansion of abortion since Roe v. Wade.

Tell Congress to vote no on any healthcare bill that does not include specific language to explicitly exclude abortion from any healthcare legislation.

Sincerely,

 SAMPLE LETTER TWO

Dear Editor:

Americans have to wake up and realize exactly what they are funding when it comes to healthcare. Congress is poised to vote on the current healthcare legislation, which includes government funding of abortion, very soon. If healthcare passes as it stands now, our money will go to fund something that a majority of the nation find to be apprehensible and immoral, abortion.

And Americans don’t even want this legislation, much less want to fund abortion. Poll after poll shows this to be true. And don’t believe our leaders in Congress who say that abortion isn’t funded in this legislation. Then why won’t Congressional leaders put in specific language to say that abortion isn’t funded?

Tell Congress to vote against any proposal that allows for government subsidized abortions.

Sincerely,

SAMPLE LETTER THREE

Dear Editor:

The last thing America needs is another bailout, especially one with obscene profits like the abortion industry. But unless healthcare legislation does not have an explicit exclusion of abortion, then the government is going to be funding abortion and bailing out the abortion industry.

Why should government money go to subsidize abortions when America is at an economic low?  The government should use resources to create new jobs instead of paying for abortions under the guise of healthcare.

Tell Congress to vote against any healthcare reform bill in which abortion is not explicitly excluded. We don’t need another bailout.

Sincerely,
